Quilting Services

Your quilt top will be finished using a hand-guided longarm quilting machine. Before you know it you will be enjoying a finished quilt rather than seeing that unfinished top in your sewing room or closet.

Try to ensure your quilt top is flat and sqaure when it is delivered for quilting. Many ripples and wavy borders cannot be corrected in the quilting process. To determine border length measure your quilt in the middle in several places and average the number. Make your border this length and make your quilt fit the border.

Quilt Preparation

• Give your quilt a good pressing to flatten all seams and remove wrinkles.
• Cut away all loose threads to prevent then from "shadowing" through your quilt top.
• Square top and backing.
• Remove selvages from the middle of the backing. They may be left along the sides.
• Backing and batting MUST be at least 8 inches longer and wider than the quilt top.
• Do not pin or baste backing batting and top together.
